This was a super nerdy, and thus fun, project for me! As an independent study, I worked on a team developing models for linear stability analysis of spatially developing flows. My primary job, besides trying to keep up with the super smart people I worked with, was to help put the math models into Matlab. This research has wide-ranging implications in coatings, phase boundaries, and thin-film applications. My work was presented before an RIT Trustee Board member as well as at the RIT Honors Symposium in May of 2017.
