SolEpoxy develops and manufactures thermoset epoxy compounds for the electronics industry. This was a great experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. I was there in Olean, NY for 5 months tackling process engineering projects ranging from noise abatement to fine glass processing to drafting in SolidWorks, etc. I gained tremendous experience in dealing with day to day manufacturing problems while trying to make progress on long term projects. It was also eye-opening to work in a small town where the economic system really relies on one or two companies. It really makes you feel like your work matters and that you are giving something to the community every day.
