Spang Engineered Solutions (SES) “offers custom inductors and transformers for a broad range of industries” . This was my first technical job, and it was truly a great experience for me. I worked as a production technician, and from time to time I was given beginner-level engineering tasks. As an engineer at SES, I participated in the design of power supply components, helped automate aspects of design tools, and inventoried company assets. Furthermore, as a technician I gained invaluable hands-on experience in the assembly of power supply components, often including the application of chemical coatings, resins, and glues. In the quality control lab, I used lean six sigma principles and high voltage testing equipment to test power supply components for inductance, capacitance, turns ratios, and resistance, among other things.
